Good Tidings To All

Now, now -- this is no way to treat the drug lord monarch of all west herds. After all, he's bringing the Freeworld some wonderful winter solstice prezzies. And judging from the cheerful wassailing resounding from every corner of our planet, it's gonna be a fun xmess.

But just before we unwrap some of the holiday boon Santa Obama has hid under the tree for the yank baboon, let's have a listen to some of the carolers from around our planet.

Chinese rear admiral starts the festivities with a powerful tenor: “China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a third world war.”

Amid the madcap EUnuchia, Serbians are becoming Russian en masse singing that it's not just Kazakhstan, Belarus, but also Kosovo growing Russia's borders now. And let's not forget that Santa Claus himself is now living & manufacturing prezzies in Russia due to the fun discovery of the Lomonosov Ridge some years back.

From the peaks of the Karakorams, we hear that Pakistan slammed NATO's talons in the south gate to Afghanistan. Russia harmonises with a mezzoforte that the north door is about to be bolted as well. Now, this symphony truly rhymes. Open the door, let them in, and then shut it on them. How scintillating.

Pakistan voices are singing sweetly of a new policy, which will target and down USA drones.

Russia then takes a hammer-on solo confronting the west hoards of child-murderers in Syrian waters, while delivering missile shield and other such xmess ornaments to Damascus.

The baboon snarled bearing missing fangs but Russia submitted the monkey a finely tuned partiture of continuing providing arms to Syria for the upcoming concerts.

From the south Atlantic, we hear the pianissimo of Argentina as it's making a bid for her Malvinas. It's a good time too for the Britzies are going to be somewhat battered as they try squeezing out of the 4th Reich.

Despite Mr Dulles having, once upon a time, worked around the clock creating all sorts of int'l implements including the UN to give USA int'l WMDs, a new Freeworld choir made of 33 nations is not only singing Bolivar stanzas, but not one of the choristers is Baboonistani.

And Iran picks up the holiday coda with a refrain that it shall have its nuke way despite the west rabid barking.

If these carols, impossible just a few years ago, fail to put you in the right festive mood, let's have a rummage through the "Change" gift bag of our comrade Obama as he slides into all the baboon hovels either via facebook or chimney.

(1) Comrade Obama promised to re-investigate 911.

Santa Obama closed all such files, widened prohibition of questioning officials about it, and slapped an indefinite moratorium on the whole touchy matter.

(2) Comrade Obama promised to reverse Bush II tax breaks given to the opulent USA 1%.

Santa Obama couldn't find the time during his entire busy reign to even so much as bother self with such nonsense.

(3) Comrade Obama promised to raise the minimum wage.

Santa Obama evidently got this mixed up a bit. Instead of raising the minimum wage, he raised the maximum one to the tune of some 5T USD.

(4) Comrade Obama promised to expose the shady fiscal doings of the "bailout" firms & banks.

Santa Obama not just closed and, for good measure, lost all the books, he also drove the bailout theft to new record heights. He enjoyed it so much that he got a bit careless and eventually caught doing a little personal undisclosed 7B USD bailout on a side.

(5) Comrade Obama promised to stop all the reckless Bush II bailout underwritings.

Santa Obama spun up the cash printers so much that he managed to heap a cool 5T USD on the baboon's already pretty prolapsed wallet. BTW, this is also a record of sorts. What Bush II did in his entire eight yrs, comrade Obama managed in three and half. Plus, note the exponential behaviour of the wonderful west-wide terminal prolapse. And no, there is no force in the galaxy that can stop it. In fact, it's so west-wrecking, that it'd be most surprising if the west betters didn't bestow some econ nobel piece prize on him.

As such, Santa Obama gave the baboon a debt-to-GDP exceeding 100% catching up with Ireland, Italy, and Greece. And this is counting the USA GDP 100% BS, which counts cash prints as "income" beside the many other numerical perversions common down their way.

(6) Comrade Obama promised to make at least 10% of USA energy reusable by the end of 2011.

Santa Obama did no such thing of course and instead bent backwards to protect the int'l oil magnates by giving them USA police and coast guard protection from prosecution and press. He then rewarded the maniacs that destroyed the Gulf of Mexico with zillions in bonuses and some 300 new permits for a new drill&frack bonanza.

(7) Comrade Obama promised to close USA concentration camps and stop USA torture policy.

Santa Obama increased the torture policies adding USA baboons as fair-play toys of the NWO Pt2 junta that's been waging war against our planet and all life since they did 911.
Perhaps pointless to add, Santa Obama closed no camps and instead gave us an xmess discovery of yet more torture dungeons found this time in Romania.

(8) Comrade Obama promised to pull out of Iraq by Apr 2009.

Santa Obama is still there.

(9) Comrade Obama promised to pull out of Iraq by Aug 2010.

Santa Obama is still there.

(10) Comrade Obama promised to pull ouf of Iraq by the Dec 2011.

Santa Obama is still there.

(11) Comrade Obama promised a diplomatic solution to Iran's getting off its knees.

Santa Obama diplomacy is a codeword for WW3 threats, sanctions, and the activation of the M Brotherhood, armed mercenary legions, and the Kurd factor in hope to at least set Iran's borders ablaze.

(12) Comrade Obama promised, in general, to stop all wars.

Santa Obama added to the fat west psychosis dossier Yemen, Niger, Somalia, Central Africa, Palestine, Libya, and Syria. Plus he's prodding Moscow with Romanian-Poland missile trench and, of course, China with the recent conquest of Darwin.

(13) Comrade Obama promised fiscal responsibility bringing USA back to growth by profit, which, of course, was an oxymoron to begin with.

Santa Obama has already maxed out the recently upped borrowing limit of 15T USD. The only growth he's managed appeared in the areas of unemployment, food stamp population, and the abject poverty herd size. It would be wrong, however, to deny Santa Obama his right due. After all, he has managed to grow a few markets like the Afghan heroin harvest by some 60%/yr and the old USA favourite pastime of smuggling drug cartel weapons.

Still, both achievements can be categorised no more than too little too late for Santa Obama's econ policies are no longer measured by boring numerical blither but by the clashes twixt his robocop elves and the new 2011 USA species, the street baboon.

(14) Comrade Obama promised two state solution for Palestine.

Santa Obama continues happily to support the ongoing Palestine genocide.

(15) Comrade Obama promised to secure "loose nuke" material.

Santa Obama failed this while ironically also failing to deliver coolant to Japan -- although his elves tried lying about it -- which directly added, if not directly caused, the WMDisation of Japan.

(16) Comrade Obama promised to uphold freedom to unionise and pass Employee Free Choice Act to halt the exploitation of USA worker by insurances, banksters, and other such parasites.

Santa Obama made no attempts whatever to affect the worker's life -- unless putting a jackboot in worker's face counts.

And the most fun prezzie of all are the hundreds of millions of the USA plateau baboons who -- if they ever manage to unwrap these priceless gifts with their illiterate minds and street-scraping knuckles -- believe this ridiculous comedy to be the "Change" they were promised.

This was the best ever posting on this blog. And the best ever follow up comment under a video which had no need for words to say it all. Such precise body blows all the way through, whew! Absolutely fitting for this festive month of December. Thank you poiuytr, thank you Nussiminen. Now we only need James W. to come in, too, to make the whole thing simply perfect.

Witty, witty, witty. A true Xmas gift in advance. The Pak-Russian duet in the making was music to my ears. And as much so did Obama with his change tune and lyrics. OK, he changed everything for the worse. Wasn't that something to be proud of as well. May he rest in "peas" with a few carrots thrown in perhaps. Last but not least, that upraised finger was thing of beauty and, of course, a joy forever.

Americans have an extremely self-righteous and delusional opinion of the goodness of their nation that they simply refuse to question.

American arrogance and presumption surpasses that of Nazi Germany even:

"December 2011. The Congress of the Conservative Party in the USA. Party members and want to be presidential candidates are openly discussing war against foreign, sovereign countries, including Syria and Iran. It is openly discussed and agreed upon, that the United States of America should begin to assassinate Russian and Iranian Scientists.

Not even the National Socialists would ever have openly, for the entire world to witness, discussed the assassination of Russian, English or American scientists. Not even the National Socialists in Germany would have openly declared that they perceive it as their right and privilege to assassinate the head of state of foreign nations.

There is something that has gone terribly awry with the self perception of US-Americans, and it is by far the factor that is the greatest contributor to the present situation."

US, has some of their own people have pointed out happens to be delusional, destructive, downright demented when it comes to its vision of itself as a great imperial power.

That it is neither great nor imperial and barely a power still has yet to sink in.

re: 19:35

I saw parts of that interview with Barbara WaWa. It was contrived American propaganda even by the Land of the Free's lofty standards. The program itself was laughably called "The Dictator Speaks" in a blatant, ham-fisted effort at painting Assad with the "tyrant" brush.

To top it off, there was Barbara WaWa herself smugly straining to present herself as an intrepid, hard-hitting interviewer.

Americans certainly live in their own CNN/Faux News/ABC unreality.

After a very relaxing interlude, we are back to business as usual. And what is our business? First and foremost war, war and some more war. We begin with this from the MSM/Alternative media:

NATO Announces Training Mission to End This Month
Lack of Immunity Again at Issue (12.12.11)

Iraqi National Security Adviser Falah al-Fayadh today announced that NATO has informed them that they will be ending their training mission at the end of the month and will withdraw all troops at that time.

“NATO surprised us with this decision,” said Fayadh, who said they were informed of the decision on Thursday. NATO had claimed they were “open” to extending the training mission into the years to come.

The move appears to have come exactly as the end of the US occupation did, as a result of the current Iraqi government’s refusal to grant blanket immunity to foreign troops for crimes committed on Iraqi soil.

Officials argued that there was no need for immunity in either case since the training missions are restricted to activities on Iraqi military bases, but in both cases Western officials seemed determined to keep full immunity.

(Not so. The truth of the matter seems to be NATO-US troops are being diverted to Jordan preparatory to infiltrating Syria. I don't know why Bashar al Assad ever bothered with that damnable TV interview. We wake up this morning to full-throated cries of attack Syria, attack Syria. Fasten your seat belts one and all.)

Putin’s authority on wane
Medvedev orders poll probe after protests
Moscow, December 11, Reuters:

President Dmitry Medvedev ordered an investigation on Sunday into allegations of fraud in Russia’s parliamentary election, one day after tens of thousands of protesters demanded it be annulled and rerun.

Medvedev responded on his Facebook site to the protesters’ complaints that the December 4 election was slanted to favour of his and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party, but did not mention their calls for an end to Putin’s rule.

“I do not agree with any slogans or statements made at the rallies. Nevertheless, instructions have been given by me to check all information from polling stations regarding compliance with the legislation on elections,” Medvedev said in a post on the social media site.

“Citizens of Russia have freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. People have a right to express the position that they did on Saturday. It all took place within the framework of the law,” he added.

His statement was a sign that the Russian leadership feels under pressure after the biggest opposition protests since Putin rose to power in 1999. The protesters themselves used social media to organise their rallies.

In a further sign of recognition that the people’s mood has changed after years of tight political control by Putin, city authorities across Russia allowed Saturday’s protests to go ahead and riot police hardly intervened.

There we go again. Was this at all necessary when we know a colour revolution is being attempted in Russia. Really, Medvedev is a hopelss victim of his "liberal pro-western illusions". And modern as hell. Communicates with the population through Facebook. I ask you! Is Russia digging its own grave?

If Russia is behaving stupidly in our eyes - and I agree it is - is China doing any better? Seems to me both countries are pale with worry that US-NATO may turn round and aim their bullets and bombs at them. Until the heavyweights overcome fear, they will lose all their matches even if faced only with flyweights.

Moody's downgrades Credit Agricole SA's long-term ratings to Aa3, concluding review
12.12.11

Moody's Investors Service has today downgraded the standalone bank financial strength rating (BFSR) of Credit Agricole SA (CASA) by one notch to C- from C (mapping to Baa2 on the long-term scale from A3 previously) and the long-term debt and deposit ratings by one notch to Aa3. The one-notch downgrade of the long-term debt and deposit ratings follows the downgrade of the BFSR. The long-term ratings now incorporate three notches of systemic support (previously two notches), derived from the rating agency's view that the probability of systemic support for CASA remains very high.

Moody's is having a high old time downgrading whomever they please. So long as the bank is not in the US.

Mikhail Prokhorov to run vs. Putin
12.12.11

MOSCOW -- Mikhail Prokhorov, one of Russia's richest tycoons and the owner of the New Jersey Nets basketball team, said Monday he will run against Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in the March presidential election.

Prokhorov, whose wealth the Forbes magazine has estimated at $18 billion, has been cautious not to cross Putin's path in the past. But the tycoon's candidacy may now pose a serious challenge to Putin, whose authority has been dented by his party's poor showing in Russia's Dec. 4 parliamentary election and allegations of widespread fraud during the balloting.

S&P gives Russian banking benefit of the doubt

Standard and Poor’s has raised ratings on 8 Russian banks under its new ratings procedure designed to provide a more accurate estimate of their financial capability.

S&P reconsidered ratings of 18 Russian banks. The only top ten Russian bank to see a change in its long-term rating is Alfa bank. It has been raised from BB- to BB, and the outlook is now ‘stable’ from ‘positive’.

Hence the attempt by the US Banking system to have the CIA overthrow Putin?

Latvia’s largest bank fights off depositor run after rumours of imminent collapse
12.12.11

RIGA, LATVIA—Latvia’s largest bank scrambled Monday to head off a run among depositors who were gripped by rumours of the bank’s imminent ruin.

Weekend rumours that Swedbank was facing legal and liquidity problems in Estonia and Sweden sent thousands of Latvians to bank machines on Sunday, with some lines reaching as many as 50 people.

Latvians are particularly sensitive to speculation about banks’ health. Latvijas Krajbanka, the country’s 10th largest bank, was nationalized last month after regulators discovered evidence of massive fraud allegedly carried out by the bank’s former owner, Russian businessman Vladimir Antonov. Depositors were deprived of access to their funds for days.

Thousands of United Russia supporters gathered on Monday on Moscow’s central Manezhnaya Square to celebrate both the party’s victory in the parliamentary elections and Russian Constitution Day.

Entitled “Glory to Russia!” the event brought together activists from pro-Kremlin youth movements, trade unions and supporters of the ruling United Russia party led by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. The party has also nominated Putin as its candidate for next year’s presidential election.

The party won the December 4 poll with almost 50 per cent of vote and secured 238 seats in the lower house.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Secretary of United Russia's General Council Presidium, Andrey Isaev, said the party’s victory would help Russia develop in the right direction and find stability. The new goal of the party is to secure Putin’s victory at the March 2012 poll, Isaev said.

December 12 marks 18 years since the Constitution of the Russian Federation was approved.

Vyacheslav Lysakov, head of the motorist group Svoboda Vybora (Freedom of Choice) said that it is a big holiday for the country. “The Constitution and Putin will give us stability. We need a strong Russia,” he said as cited by Interfax.

Dmitry Rogozin – Moscow’s permanent representative to NATO and the leader of the Congress of Russian Communities – noted that Russia is living through uneasy times. Some forces in Europe are eyeing it as “easy prey”.
“They have bombed Iraq, they have ruined Libya, they are approaching Syria, they have trampled the people of Yugoslavia, but they also think about Russia. They are waiting for a moment when they could take advantage of our country’s weakness,” Rogozin said. According to the diplomat, there are no leaders in Europe who are capable of countering Washington’s dictatorship. However, he said, “We have such a leader – it’s Vladimir Putin.”

The politician added that Putin is ready to stand up for Russia and “we are ready to stand up for him.” Rogozin observed that there are no true leaders among the parliamentary opposition. He recalled that on Saturday – when a mass protest rally against the election result was held on Moscow’s Bolotnaya Square – none of the State Duma opposition factions appeared at the event.

Today’s meeting ended peacefully with the crowd singing Russia’s national anthem.

I would like to elaborate somewhat on Rogozin's most perspicacious judgement to the effect that "there are no leaders in Europe who are capable of countering Washington’s dictatorship".

C'est bien vrai. Alors, laissez-moi révéler la raison principale pour laquelle il n'y a pas de Poutine ici.

In order to avoid a total collapse of the very fabric of its Baboonistani Society, EUnuchia has little choice but to join, or at least give consent to, the criminal and deranged misadventures of Anglo-American imperialism all over the planet. The EUnuchs have very little to show for them militarily, so staging a "rival party" of worldwide brigandage and coups d'état simply is not viable at present, the much more imminent bankruptcy of the US notwithstanding.

So let's be blunt, since facts are stubborn things: The living standards of the EUnuch baboons would plummet were EUnuchia to be left out in the cold by the Anglo-Americans. Unlike today's financial hullabaloo, the prospect of finally losing their Western imperialist privilege is something that evokes REAL horror in the baboons here. Hence the vile grovelling before Washington on the part of EUnuchia as duly noted by Mr. Rogozin. There is definitely a mass base for it.

Merci de votre attention, chers amis.

Stock markets across Europe slid into the red today and currency traders buffeted the euro as doubts grew over whether last week's European Union deal can stem the immediate debt crisis.

Markets were put additionally on the back foot by the Federal Reserve, which last night warned Europe's sovereign debt crisis could hurt the U.S. economy but failed to signal fresh action to stimulate growth.

That sent Wall Street shares into reverse and the FTSE 100 index reacted today by slipping 36.11 points to 5,454.0. The leading German and French indices were also 1 per cent down.

The euro meanwhile struggled to remain above the $1.30 mark, having hit 11-month lows yesterday as doubts emerged in several countries over whether the EU agreement struck late last week will ever come into force.

Germany’s Angela Merkel did not help matters by ruling out beefing up a bailout fund for debt-stricken eurozone economies.

Ratification of a deal creating an effective single EU economic government appeared fraught with difficulty last night in Sweden, Holland, Denmark, Finland and the Czech Republic.

There are even doubts over whether France will implement the package after its main opposition party – currently on course to oust Nicolas Sarkozy in elections in April – rejected the deal.

And alarming figures suggested Greece is potentially in the grip of a run on its banks, with around 20 per cent of deposits withdrawn since the start of the year.

David Cameron's EU veto has given the Tories a major poll boost, putting his party ahead of Labour for the first time this year.

Going through the news today, one chances upon an article saying Obama says we'll win this thing, this thing being the 2012 election. Well, all right. Then we have Leon Panetta in Afghanistan assuring US troops they're winning the war in Afghanistan. Really? And since today seems to be day more or less marking the end of the Iraq war with soldiers returning to US Fort Bragg, I suppose this is the third thing which has also been won.

So if all this adds up to winning, I wonder what losing might look like.

Stock markets slump as euro hits 11-month low against the dollar
14.12.11

Stock markets slumped and the euro hit a fresh 11-month low against the dollar amid renewed fears that Europe will be forced to rescue Italy and Spain from a lending boycott by international investors.

The FTSE index of Britain's top 100 companies dropped 2.25% to lead falls on continental exchanges and the US markets in a day of volatile trading. France's CAC 40 was the worst performer among major European indexes, falling 3.3%, followed by Italy's FTSE MIB, which dropped 2.8%.

Investors singled out Italy for more pain as they sent the interest rate on the all-important 10-year bond past 7% to hit 7.17%. The euro fell to €1.30 against the dollar, the lowest since January.

Further to yesterday's 21:44,

Barack Obama marked an end to a war he once described as "dumb" by declaring the conflict in Iraq a success and saying the last US troops will leave in the coming days with their "heads held high".

The president told an audience of soldiers at Fort Bragg that the final pullout from Iraq after nearly nine years of war is an "historic" moment and that the country they leave behind is "an extraordinary achievement".

"Dozens of bases with American names that housed thousands of American troops have been closed down or turned over to the Iraqis. Thousands of tons of equipment have been packed up and shipped out. Tomorrow, the colours of United States Forces Iraq, the colours you fought under, will be formally cased in a ceremony in Baghdad," he said. "One of the most extraordinary chapters in the history of the American military will come to an end. Iraq's future will be in the hands of its people. America's war in Iraq will be over."

The president said the last US troops will leave in the coming days, travelling south across the desert by much the same route that American, British and coalition forces attacked Iraq in 2003.

(If by "extraordinary achievement" he means an extraordinary achievement in genocide, then we're with you all the way, BO.)

Greek Bank Run Hits Record: Unprecedented €6.8 Billion In Deposits Pulled From Greek Banks In October - 15.12.11

While it is no surprise that Greek bank deposits are rapidly fleeing both the country's banking system, and the country, following September's record outflow of €5.5 billion, the situation just got far worse, after October data reveals that a record €6.8 billion was taken out of corporate and household deposits in one month....Because as history always shows there is no such thing as a bank run that gets fixed on its own. One thing is certain: November data, and then December, and so forth, will only be worse and worse and worse, until the whole country finally implodes.

Your 2nd sentence answers the question.

> Does Russia never learn from its own experiences?

I think Russia has learnt beyond anyone's -- certainly in the west cesspit -- expectation. In fact, it's gotten so bad the west psychos are wetdreaming about war on Russia 24/7. If only they could figure out who to sic on Moscow today.

> Sometimes I despair of Russia's moves and counter moves.

I could say 'oh ye of no faith' but won't. Instead I'll posit the following:

Half of yank baboons are broke. 1/3 baboon children in "official" poverty. Official poverty, as all west #s is of course a mockery of poverty to begin with and they don't count 7+ yr olds as children.

Like all prolapse graphs, this too is a climbing stat, steadfast for 4th consecutive year, putting the beginning, as with ALL west graphs, to 2007. This is a very important date, btw.

In 2006, there were 22% of baboon kids in poverty. 7M baboon kids have no medical insurance/care in USA. 20M baboon kids are malnourished, which is probably healthy than eating the aspertame baboon feed sold as food in USA. 1/7 adult baboons is on food stamps. Again, this number is climbing, although not as fast as it should for USA is unwilling to print food stamps now. 1/4 kid baboons is on food stamps. 42% of single mother baboons are on food stamps (last yr stat).

We have cheered individual firm "bailouts" as, one by one, the whole of the west house of cards fell to bits. We then cheered industry-wide "bailouts" saving the entire fiscal machinery of west. Look at UK central bank or USA Fred-scam. It's trillions every qtr just to keep them half alive.

...

poiuytr said...

But it didn't end with industry "bailouts", did it? No, we then marveled at nation-wide "bailouts". But hang on! It gets better!

Today, we're crying tears of laughter over CONTINENTAL "bailouts", as the baboon prints a quick stash of 0,5% priced d0llars to postpone the EUnuch implosion in hope to ward off EUnuch takeover by the Freeworld, and give Germs enough time to figure a way to decouple selves from the sinkhole.

This is going from a single firm prolapse to continental one in just 4 yrs.

No part of west is standing today. It's got crowds in streets for economy now. Detrot and other erstwhile west powerhouses are ghost towns with properties being razed for it's cheaper than protecting it from vagrant invasion.

EUnuchs are being roped into a 4th Reich dumping the US Lesbian Treaty they had just barely pushed into place. The Maginot line has once again been side-stepped and EUnuchs are now a Berlin property. Yes, in EUnuchia we have seen, not two coup d'etats, but 23 now. They once had planned to run our planet with their one governance. They've only made it to EUnuchia.

Equally, west economy is made up of exactly the same incest.

Apart from USA, no one is lending to even Germs, the erstwhile believed engine of all EUnuchs. IMF, the west vampire that a few years ago was happily raping every corner of our planet has to be content now with just trying its monstrous ways on what's left of the west. Now, that's incest, another beautiful trait of the west child-murdering species.

Today, even the west junta is admitting risk of total banking prolapse. To reign in this risk, EUnuchs are in immediate need of 7T EUR -- money that just isn't there and this is all while west is headlong for super devaluation now thanks to its madcap cash printing of the last decade, exponentially increasing the last few years.

This means total wall-to-wall credit prolapse as well, which spells: zero business, zero realty, zero nothing not even the west's own usury games for the whole wild wild world of west. This doesn't even count into this marvelous picture the trillions of toxicity going viral in the veins of the beast.

It's so laughable now, that west can no longer smooth talk even the usual suicide investors.

A cash drain has bled Greece in a single yr by 80% and so exponentially as well. 5,5B EUR vanished in Sep and near 9B in Oct.

Unemployment across west is so amusingly sky-high that west has redefined "unemployment" definitions and stat keeping in order to hide this fun-filled disaster. Even the west BBCNN whores admit to tracking less than half of the real unemployment.

...

poiuytr said...

University grads are now boasting near 50% unemployment in Baboonistan alone. The employed ones are now working as cashiers, sales clerks, waiters, and janitors. While there is no way for the young baboon to make it, they carry a 1T USD debt adding to the wonderment of the west-wide terminal prolapse.

It's gotten so fun, that west is down to madcap rent-a-mob methods in Syria, Russia, and everywhere its talons can reach and overt death threats against V Putin. And note that west, despite a decade of rabid barking, hasn't dared touching Iran or Venezuela.

Now, doesn't this sound like a totally different world than from what we knew 4 yrs ago?

Could you have imagined such a massive bloodletting across the whole of the west a few years ago?

These are no times of despair. These are times of moral healing, of spiritual uplifting, and a several pints strong cheer.

In fact, the west terminal prolapse seems gaining in momentum too fast, which is frightening for the beast could do something incredibly stupid out of its growing desperation as rigor mortis twitches its trigger claws. And we wouldn't want that, would we?

(To some, it may seem I'm committing repetitive english mistakes, apart from the many butcheries of the silly tongue, by not using the article "the" with connection to west. It's not a mistake. It's deliberate. West like english and most west names have long since lost their syntax right for both the article and capitals.)

------------------

> However, he said, “We have such a leader – it’s Vladimir Putin.”

Yes, hence the overt death-threat issued by west against V Putin.

> If Russia is behaving stupidly in our eyes - and I agree it is - is China doing any better? Seems to me both countries are pale with worry that US-NATO may turn round and aim their bullets and bombs at them.

I could say "oh ye of no faith" again but won't again.

There seems to be this Dark Age blanketing west blacking out even the very reason behind the wonderment of its west-wide prolapse. Even what's considered as west dissent hasn't been able to untangle this one and many west folks are therefore flummoxed incapable of grasping why the west world is vanishing and so for good.

West isn't plagued by econ slowdowns, double-dip recessions, fiscal oversights, bankster greed, derivative eddy currents, or slow than predicted econ recovery, as some BBCNN whores and west dissenters are still spewing. West is suffering from terminal rot. It's lost all wars it's launched against our planet including its currency monopoly.

No part of the west-wide prolapse that's routinely highlighted and cheered here is accidental.

It's all down to the brilliant counter offensive of the Freeworld. And you call this "stupid behaviour".

To your second sentence: west hasn't dared attack -- never, not once, in its entire history -- anyone armed or even half armed. West armies are only effective against civilians and still west prefers the defenceless nations are "softened up" by decade-long sanctions.

As such, west hasn't dared touch Iran, has it? Now look at Iran and compare it to China and then Russia and tell me: if west is afraid of Iran, how do you figure it isn't of China or Russia?

I recall once an Assad interview with some yank baboon where the poor guy had to explain to the baboon what "anti-semitic" really means. What on earth has caused such out of this world cretinism in the west populaces?

Fitch cuts Goldman, Deutsche, five other large banks - 16.12.11

Fitch Ratings, the third-biggest of the major credit rating agencies, on Thursday downgraded Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and five other large banks based in Europe and the United States, citing "increased challenges" in the financial markets.

Fitch cut long-term ratings on Barclays Plc and Credit Suisse AG by two notches to 'A' from 'AA-'.
The agency cut by one notch its long-term ratings on Bank of America Corp, BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank AG and Goldman Sachs Group.

The financial market challenges the banks face "result from both economic developments as well as a myriad of regulatory changes," Fitch said in an announcement issued shortly after regular market hours in New York.

In a separate announcement about the downgrade of Citigroup, Fitch cited "policy momentum" against using taxpayer money to support banks during a crisis.

Fitch's actions follow downgrades by Standard & Poor's of several major banks at the end of last month. S&P's moves came as part of an overhaul of its ratings methods to incorporate lessons learned in the financial crisis. Moody's also issued downgrades recently.

Jerry Dubrowski, a spokesman for Bank of America, which has had ratings cut by all three agencies, said in an email, "This decision is driven more by concerns about the global economy than the specific credit quality of Bank of America. We continue to maintain strong liquidity levels and to build capital."

Fitch on Thursday also affirmed its long-term 'A' ratings on JPMorgan Chase & Co, Morgan Stanley and UBS AG, as well as its 'A+' rating on Societe Generale.

Poiuytr, your voice is like a clarion call. It sounds and we all wake up and see the world anew. Much do we stand in need of this periodical awakening. So thank you.

However, when you write: "west hasn't dared to attack anyone armed or half armed", you're right and we, having learnt it from you, also use it as a basic principle to determine many issues. But one question does come to mind: We know it, but do China and Russia? Reverting to Syria, time and again it has been shown that the figures we're being given for "massacres" in Syria are totally imagined and not once have I heard either country come right out and say it. They always seem to pay lip service at least to whatever the rhetoric coming out of west is at any given time.

Specially, I'm disgusted with how west once again managed a beginning of a colour revolution in Russia the past week or so. But perhaps this is the right way to go about things for, in the final analysis, what do I know about high politics anyway? Give me the simplicity of the Afghans instead. That, at least, I can cope with.

Putin Lashes Out At McCain Over Libya-Russia Parallel
15.12,11

Vladimir Putin has lashed out at John McCain over his threats that the PM may face same fate as the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. The Russian premier speculated that the US senator has been traumatized by his POW experience.

Putin presented his version of how Gaddafi was killed, and it allocates a dubious place for NATO in the scenario.

“All the world saw him being killed, all bloodied. Is that democracy? And who did it? Drones, including American ones, delivered a strike on his motorcade. Then commandos, who were not supposed to be there, brought in so-called opposition and militants. And killed him without trial,” Putin explained

War Without End, Amen: The Reality of America's Aggression Against Iraq - Epitaph on the Dead of Iraq

In March 2003, the United States of America launched an entirely unprovoked act of military aggression against a nation which had not attacked it and posed no threat to it. This act led directly to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. It drove millions more from their homes, and plunged the entire conquered nation into suffering, fear, hatred and deprivation.

This is the reality of what actually happened in Iraq: aggression, slaughter, atrocity, ruin. It is the only reality; there is no other. And it was done deliberately, knowingly, willingly. Indeed, the bipartisan American power structure spent more than $1 trillion to make it happen. It is a record of unspeakable savagery, an abomination, an outpouring of the most profound and filthy moral evil.

Line up the bodies of the children, the thousands of children -- the infants, the toddlers, the schoolkids -- whose bodies were torn to pieces, burned alive or riddled with bullets during the American invasion and occupation of Iraq. Line them up in the desert sand, walk past them, mile after mile, all those twisted corpses, those scraps of torn flesh and seeping viscera, those blank faces, those staring eyes fixed forever on nothingness.

This is the reality of what happened in Iraq; there is no other reality.

These children -- these thousands of children -- are dead, and will always be dead, as a direct result of the unprovoked act of military aggression launched and sustained by the American power structure. Killing these children, creating and maintaining the conditions that led to the slaughter of these children, was precisely what the armed forces of the United States were doing in Iraq. Without the invasion, without the occupation, without the 1.5 million members of the American volunteer army who surrendered their moral agency to "just follow orders" and carry out their leaders' agenda of aggression, those children would not have died -- would not have been torn, eviscerated, shot, burned and destroyed.

This is the reality of what happened in Iraq; you cannot make it otherwise. It has already happened; it always will have happened. You cannot undo it.

But you can, of course, ignore it. This is the path chosen by the overwhelming majority of Americans, and by the entirety of the bipartisan elite. This involves a pathological degree of disassociation from reality. What is plainly there -- the evil, the depravity, the guilt -- cannot be accepted, and so it is converted into its opposite: goodness, triumph, righteousness. The moral structures of the psyche are eaten away by this malignant dynamic, as are the mind's powers of perception and judgment. Thus depravity and evil come to seem more and more normal; it becomes more and more difficult to focus on what is really in front of you, to perceive, judge and care about the actual consequences of what you've done or what is being done in your name. Unmoored from reality, you become lost in a savage nihilism that cloaks its unsifted rage and fear and chaos in the most threadbare pieties. And thus you drift deeper and deeper into evil and meaninglessness, singing hosannas to yourself as you go.

Spain and Italy of downgrade as Moody's cuts Belgium by two notches

Spain and Italy were both told to brace for a debt downgrade after a leading rating agency concluded that a "comprehensive solution to the eurozone crisis is technically and politically beyond reach".

The eurozone’s third- and fourth-biggest economies were warned by Fitch of a “near-term” downgrade, alongside Ireland, Belgium, Slovenia and Cyprus.

In a further blow, Belgium separately saw its credit rating downgraded two notches, to Aa3, by another leading agency, Moody’s.

It cited the “sustained deterioration” in funding conditions for eurozone countries with relatively high levels of public debt, like Belgium, and new risks stemming from the country's troubled banking sector.

The downgrade and warnings, delivered after the markets closed last night, came as Spain said its debts had soared; talks with Greece’s private bondholders stalled; and Hungary broke off talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Pitching itself firmly against Germany, the rating agency warned that the European Central Bank (ECB) needed to give a "more active and explicit commitment" to prevent "self-fulfilling liquidity crises" ripping through the eurozone. The ECB's support for eurozone banks was praised but Fitch said the central bank's "continued reluctance to countenance a similar degree of support to its sovereign shareholders" was undermining the efforts to create a firewall to stem the crisis.

US Funding for "Russian Spring"

Editor’s Note: I take it that the Obama Administration is taking all this Russian Spring talk seriously. They pumped millions into the Egyptian elections and now they see a weakened Putin caught flat-footed by the large response(most likely hired force) so it is time to take advantage. Most Russians pawned their freedom for scarce security long ago so any anger directed at United Russia is temporary at best.

The U.S. administration is in talks with Congress on the establishment of a new organization supporting NGOs in Russia, Philip Gordon, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, said on Wednesday, December 14.

“As part of our democracy strategy, the administration has been consulting with Congress on an initiative to create a new fund to support Russian non-governmental organizations that are committed to a more pluralistic and open society,” Gordon said.

“The fund would not require an additional appropriation, as necessary funding would be drawn from the liquidated proceeds of the U.S.-Russia Investment Fund – an example of successful U.S. foreign assistance to Russia,” he said at a meeting of a subcommittee in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Gordon said the United States provides financial support to Russian civil society.

“Since 2009, the U.S. government has given approximately $160 million in assistance to support programs on human rights, rule of law, anti-corruption, civil society, independent media, good governance, and democratic political processes,” he said.

“Most recently, U.S. funding was used to support independent Russian monitoring of the State Duma elections and education for independent media on professional and unbiased reporting, encourage informed citizen participation in elections, and enhance the capacity to conduct public opinion polling,” Gordon said, RIA Novosti reported.

On December 8, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin proposed toughening responsibility for those who interfere in Russian political life on foreign orders.

“When money from abroad is invested in political activities inside another country, this concerns us,” he said, adding that “hundreds of millions of dollars” of foreign money have been spent to influence the election process in Russia.

“We are not against foreign observers monitoring out election process,” Putin said. “But when they begin motivating some organizations inside the country which claim to be domestic but in fact are funded from abroad… this is unacceptable.”

re: 17:41

American democracy promotion is the USA's favored propaganda mask for infiltrating other nations and manipulating their politics.

Those American NGOs should be outlawed and kicked out of Russia to defend Russian sovereignty against the American Empire's tentacles.

And make no mistake, most Americans support this kind of American imperial political expansion.

Americans as a people are a crusader colonizer people. America tries to colonize the world by force or by deception and then laughably calls it "democracy."

In order to resist and defeat Americanism, you must under the mind of America. Enter the netherword that is the United Sociopaths of America:

American exceptionalism — A survey

The leaders of imperial powers have traditionally told themselves and their citizens that their country was exceptional and that their subjugation of a particular foreign land should be seen as a "civilizing mission", a "liberation", "God's will", and of course bringing "freedom and democracy" to the benighted and downtrodden. It is difficult to kill large numbers of people without a claim to virtue. I wonder if this sense of exceptionalism has been embedded anywhere more deeply than in the United States, where it is drilled into every cell and ganglion of American consciousness from kindergarten on. If we measure the degree of indoctrination (I'll resist the temptation to use the word "brainwashing") of a population as the gap between what the people believe their government has done in the world and what the actual (very sordid) facts are, the American people are clearly the most indoctrinated people on the planet. The role of the American media is of course indispensable to this process — Try naming a single American daily newspaper or TV network that was unequivocally against the US attacks on Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Panama, Grenada, and Vietnam. Or even against any two of them. How about one? Which of the mainstream media expressed real skepticism of The War on Terror in its early years?

Overloaded with a sense of America's moral superiority, each year the State Department judges the world, issuing reports evaluating the behavior of all other nations, often accompanied by sanctions of one kind or another. There are different reports rating how each lesser nation has performed in the previous year in the areas of religious freedom, human rights, the war on drugs, trafficking in persons, and counterterrorism, as well as maintaining a list of international "terrorist" groups. The criteria used in these reports are mainly political, wherever applicable; Cuba, for example, is always listed as a supporter of terrorism whereas anti-Castro exile groups in Florida, which have committed literally hundreds of terrorist acts, are not listed as terrorist groups.

•"The causes of the malady are not entirely clear but its recurrence is one of the uniformities of history: power tends to confuse itself with virtue and a great nation is peculiarly susceptible to the idea that its power is a sign of God's favor, conferring upon it a special responsibility for other nations — to make them richer and happier and wiser, to remake them, that is, in its own shining image." — Former US Senator William Fulbright, The Arrogance of Power (1966)

•"God appointed America to save the world in any way that suits America. God appointed Israel to be the nexus of America's Middle Eastern policy and anyone who wants to mess with that idea is a) anti-Semitic, b) anti-American, c) with the enemy, and d) a terrorist." — John le Carré, London Times, January 15, 2003

•"Neoconservatism ... traded upon the historic American myths of innocence, exceptionalism, triumphalism and Manifest Destiny. It offered a vision of what the United States should do with its unrivaled global power. In its most rhetorically-seductive messianic versions, it conflated the expansion of American power with the dream of universal democracy. In all of this, it proclaimed that the maximal use of American power was good for both America and the world." — Columbia University Professor Gary Dorrien, The Christian Century magazine, January 22, 2007

Good Lord, I thought the congratulatory noises made by Obama to some of his returning troops were enough to make one throw up. But 23:58 with his collection of quotes has gone and upped the ante. Now not only do we have to throw up over and over again, we have to take to our beds indefinitely because disgust has oozed all strength out of our muscles and veins.

Then, if we descend from the high spheres of self-praise in spades, we suddenly see the light again: the facts on the ground. Millions have been killed, gulp, but, hallalujah! they have lost all their wars, including WW1, WW2 and WW3, part one the Muslim Wars.

And this time it's damned serious. The war lost, the money gone. So, as poiuytr would say, raise a glass the far-sighted and give that bed a miss for the moment.

Thanks, 18:51. You're quite right. No wonder I can't watch CNN or any other channel for even an instant. I can't read their newspapers or magazine either. Except occasionally on some matter of failing finances. So who will finally deal with the US psychpaths?

I don't trust Europe at all either. As for Russia, it gives me a hard time, too. Here take a look at this:
NATO Wants a Civil War in Syria – As a Prelude

Washington is ready to discuss Russia’s UN Security Council draft resolution on Syria, describing some provisions as however “unacceptable” and still not acknowledging that the anti-regime protesters are well-armed.

What exactly the US and NATO countries consider to be “unacceptable” is the real question, believes Asia Times correspondent Pepe Escobar.

“Is it that the Syrian government cannot fight an armed insurgency in its own territory?” he ponders. “The Free Syrian Army are getting weapons smuggled from the Middle East to the borders [with Syria] in Turkey and in Jordan as well.”

(Of course, a "civil war" in Syria would be the excuse for NATO and the UN to issue a "RTP" mandate (Responsibility to Protect), and under that guise, invade Syria.

And although Russia is making noises right now about pushing a "pre-emptive solution" to end the violence, its admission last week into the WTO (after a painful, almost two decade process, I might add), may well be the quid pro quo for Russia's not intervening if US/NATO forces actually attack Syria, as a way toward a "back-door" war with Iran.

Syria and Iran have a mutual defense pact, so any military action against Syria demands Iranian military response; and particularly on the part of Israel, regime change in Iran is the prize here.)WRH

Right. We'll dismiss all this by saying it's only Michael Rivero talking through his hat as usual. But someone above already pointed it out, I think. My instinct tells me to have tabled yet another resolution on Syria, however mild, was stupid on the part of Russia and China. It's opening the door to NATO. And for heaven's sake get it once and for all. International Law, if ever it existed, has been coffined and buried quite some time ago. Well, I suppose time will tell.

Anti-Russia Propaganda

Komi is one of Russia's largest and oldest oil provinces but ruptures in aging pipelines and leaks from decommissioned oil wells make oil spills in the region routine. Environmentalists estimate at least 1 percent of Russia's annual oil production, or 5 million tons (35 million barrels), is spilled every year. That's equivalent to one Deepwater Horizon-scale leak about every two months. Crumbling infrastructure and a harsh climate combine to spell disaster in the world's largest oil producer, responsible for 13 percent of global output.

On the bright yellow tundra outside this oil town near the Arctic Circle, a pitch-black pool of crude stretches toward the horizon. The source: a decommissioned well whose rusty screws ooze with oil, viscous like jam.

This is the face of Russia's oil country, a sprawling, inhospitable zone that experts say represents the world's worst ecological oil catastrophe.

Environmentalists estimate at least 1 percent of Russia's annual oil production, or 5 million tons, is spilled every year. That is equivalent to one Deepwater Horizon-scale leak about every two months. Crumbling infrastructure and a harsh climate combine to spell disaster in the world's largest oil producer, responsible for 13 percent of global output.

Oil, stubbornly seeping through rusty pipelines and old wells, contaminates soil, kills all plants that grow on it and destroys habitats for mammals and birds. Half a million tons every year get into rivers that flow into the Arctic Ocean, the government says, upsetting the delicate environmental balance in those waters.

It's part of a legacy of environmental tragedy that has plagued Russia and the countries of its former Soviet empire for decades, from the nuclear horrors of Chernobyl in Ukraine to lethal chemical waste in the Russian city of Dzerzhinsk and paper mill pollution seeping into Siberia's Lake Baikal, which holds one-fifth of the world's supply of fresh water.

Oil spills in Russia are less dramatic than disasters in the Gulf of Mexico or the North Sea, more the result of a drip-drip of leaked crude than a sudden explosion. But they're more numerous than in any other oil-producing nation including insurgency-hit Nigeria, and combined they spill far more than anywhere else in the world, scientists say.

(Got it? Got it. Attack Russia so that the planet can be saved. That's the build up to when they go in to seize Russian resources. Unless Russia acts first and puts them in their place.)

The best way to defeat America is to give it a TASTE OF ITS OWN MEDICINE.

That means exposing all the atrocities and political repression that America is guilty of both inside and outside its (illegitimate) borders.

And it means supporting independence movements inside of the American Empire like Native American liberation struggles, Hawaiian independence, and the liberation of Aztlan (aka California, Texas, and the "American" h) from the USA.

So let's open a thread addressed to Tet, asking for the eviction of the offensive bloggers. Let's see how many "signatures" we get.

Iraq-war.ru banned Poiutyr but they allow Zionist shills like Ageless Parasite to post?

What's wrong with that picture?

Poiutyr should start posting on Iraq-war.ru if under a nickname if necessary.

The way Ageless Parasite works is through attrition, bombarding the website with smears, allegations, and disinformation. He hopes to flood the website through the sheer volume of his propaganda barrages.

It reminds of the Goebbelsian technique that America and Israel always use, where they repeat a lie over and over again until it becomes accepted as the truth (e.g. Iraqi WMDs, Al-CIAda, Freedom and Democracy).

I wonder where Parasite gets all the time to do this kind of thing.

Doesn't he have a job to support himself--or is posting on Iraq-War.ru his real job?

I think it would be useful to find out more information about Ageless Parasite, such as teasing out his personal background and details, etc.

Another thing that should be done is to gather some of his posts and comments together in order to demonstrate both his lies and broader political agenda he serves.

This could then be made into a single article and posted as a "Primer on Parasite" of sorts.

RE: 20:10

LOL. That video is typical American Orwellian propaganda you see from Alex Jones-style nationalist demagogues, where the USA portrays itself as a victim and psychologically projects its ambitions onto its opponents.

The New World Order is an AMERICAN invention promoted by US leaders from Woodrow Wilson to FDR to George Bush Sr.

And this NWO is designed to make America the global dictator of the planet, enabling the USA to continue to rape the world through its predatory brand of capitalism and maintain its stolen and illegitmate wealth.

-After all, it's America that is waging serial wars of aggression around the world.

-It's America that is overthrowing (regime changing) governments with impunity.

-And it's America that is demanding that other nations adopt America-style capitalism and support the imperial US Petro Dollar system.

In fact, the "NWO" is just a propaganda euphemism for the US military's doctrine of Full Spectrum Dominance--or a Unipolar American world in which the America rules as the sole superpower.

Nations like China, Russia, Iran, Syria are OBSTACLES to the American...sorry, New World Order.

That is why American apologists (both mainstream and "alternative") instinctively demonize these nations and stand reality on its head in the process.

And it demonstates once again that it's the Machiavellian American Empire and people as a *whole* that are clear and present threat.

The Return Of Debtor’s Prisons: Thousands Of Americans Jailed For Not Paying Their Bills
20.12.11

Federal imprisonment for unpaid debt has been illegal in the U.S. since 1833. It’s a practice people associate more with the age of Dickens than modern-day America. But as more Americans struggle to pay their bills in the wake of the recession, collection agencies are using harsher methods to get their money, ushering in the return of debtor’s prisons.

NPR reports that it’s becoming increasingly common for people to serve jail time as a result of their debt. Because of “sloppy, incomplete or even false documentation,” many borrowers facing jail time don’t even know they’re being sued by creditors:

by phil_s66 on 20.12.2011 [20:33 ]

Iraq alone after what they went through with many years of bombing and brutal brutal criminal sanctions took on and defeated (yes defeated) the American army.

Syria will be much much harder. Is America/Nato prepared to use pure over kill on Syria? This is what they would have to do to have any chance of defeating Syria.

Then we have Iran and Lebanon with Russia. No this time around the game stakes are much much higher. I believe this would be the end of Nato as any form of power. Nato is already a load of shit as a force any way.

America and Nato with their dogs and rats Turkey will need to commit mass genocide and dozens of Fallujahs and some how i cannot see it.

I see them wanting to do it, i see them planning, but acting on these plans and thoughts is just to much. If i am wrong i pray more than ever that Syria with her allies give the world enemies the final kill that is needed to finish these evil f/ks off once and for all.

Make Europe and America pay war reparations to the tune of total bankruptcy for them all. The dirty murdering child raping, baby killing, godless evil minded beats. They destroyed Libya, and are on a high well that high will soon come crashing down hard if they take this next crazy step.

I am sure there is many many people willing to take up arms outside of the fighting zone to come in and defend Syria against the rats and European rapist baby killers.

Hungary Hit by Second Debt Downgrade to Junk on Orban’s Policies

Dec. 22 -- Hungary lost its investment-grade rating at Standard & Poor’s, the second such downgrade in a month, increasing pressure on Premier Viktor Orban to obtain an International Monetary Fund backstop and reverse policies.

The country’s long- and short-term foreign- and local- currency sovereign credit ratings were cut one step to BB+ from BBB-, the company said yesterday in a statement. S&P, which awarded Hungary its investment grade in 1996, assigned a negative outlook. Moody’s Investors Service lowered its assessment to Ba1, the highest junk grade, on Nov. 24, while Fitch Ratings has assigned its lowest investment grade, BBB-.

(Wasn't this the country recently called upon to contribute to the EU's bailout fund?)

As the year enters its final phase, I'm somehow reminded of the aftermath to the Trojan War. Suffering descended on the "victorious" Greeks kings in various forms and shapes. That is a bit the situation as I see it in the world today. Like in the mythological history of Greece and Troy, west has burned down two Muslim countries in Asia. Their wars there lasted ten years. Now payback time seems to have arrived. Are they going to manage to attack Syria, Iran, North Korea, China, Russia as well or are they simply going to collapse under the weight of their own debts?

All this talk of a nuclear war also deserves a second look. Perhaps a few of those bombs will go off. So what? The thing is a few nuclear bombs will not destroy the whole planet. No way. Much and many will be destroyed, but the planet will carry on living its life in accordance with the laws of nature.

So as 2012 slowly raises its head, I for one have decided, however much a year of added suffering it may be, I shall look at things with suitable detachment and hope the events following the destruction of Troy will play out in west once again.

The Role of the media

Currently the media represents the interests of the 1% of the ‘public’ that imposes its reality on the proceedings as if it’s ours. A reality in which certain fundamentals are a ‘given’, for example, the rule of private capital, the primacy of the state to act with impunity in all things in order to ‘protect our national interest’. In a phrase, the preservation of the existing order and way of doing things.

Even the tools that we now have including blogs, social networking and instantaneous video have proved to be very powerful tools of propaganda for the Empire. Tools that have been turned against us as is the case with Libya and now Syria.

The BBC’s use of video from cellphones–mostly unattributed and revealing nothing about what is actually going on in Syria–have become the staple diet of the BBC’s alleged news coverage of Syria, claiming that they’re not allowed into the country.

And ‘bloggers’ are now a regular feature of MSM coverage, which is fine except that only a couple of years ago, the MSM was ranting on about how ‘blogging’ was going to be the death of ‘professional’ journalism. If only…

But no more, the MSM realized that ‘reality’ video was the perfect tool of propaganda, as it appears that it’s ‘the people’ speaking. The BBC is merely relaying ‘reality’ to its public and in the process it accrues the authenticity needed to make it believable. To make it credible.

And in doing so, the MSM has jettisoned the last remnants of what it chooses to call ‘impartial and objective’ journalism.

The drama and (hidden) tragedy of the destruction of Libya was played out for us as if it were cinéma verité, all grainy footage and hand-held cameras swinging about wildly all over the place, inter-cut with BBC propagandists masquerading as news men standing in front of a weapon of death boasting to the viewer of its awesome fire power.

As the Empire acts with increasing impunity, so too does the media. The Media and the Empire in total lockstep.

This America media should be put on trial for war crimes just as surely as the American military and regime.

Interior Minister Paivi Rasanen said the missiles were marked “fireworks”. The MS Thor Liberty had docked in the Finnish port of Kotka after leaving Germany last week. Dock workers became suspicious after finding explosives poorly stored on open pallets, and the missiles were then found in containers marked “fireworks”.

(See how the story changes. Yesterday this ship was South Korea bound, now it's suddenly turned China. Now why on earth should China be trying to smuggle in Patriot missiles and explosives when they probably have got bigger and better ones of their own?)

This seems like a standard Western psyops designed to play the weapons smuggling charge against China.

This is a predictable tactic used by these Western war criminal nations, as seen by their similiar propaganda against North Korea, Iran, and Iraq.

China wouldn't need the crappy American Patriot missiles when they have the Russian S-300 anti-missile systems, which are a helluva lot better.

re: 13:02

Yes, yet another example of America, Israeli, and European covert terrorism working via their their Al-CIAda and Muslim Brotherhood stooges.

What is really outrageous is that the American media (like NPR) was trying to insinuate that these acts of terrorism were staged by the Syrian government.

This is classic American hypocrisy, as it's well documented that the USA and its European allies have committed false flag terrorism against its own citizens and other countries--from 9-11 the Madrid bombings to Britain's 7-7 inside job terror attacks.

As always, America and Europe accuse other nations of what they themselves are guilty of, projecting their terrorist instincts onto others.

Currency deal between Tokyo and Peking

BEIJING—A wide-ranging currency agreement between China and Japan is expected to give the Chinese yuan a more powerful role in international trade, but Beijing still must make substantial changes in how it manages its economy before the yuan becomes a currency powerhouse on the scale of the dollar or euro.

Economic woes in Europe and U.S. have undermined market confidence in the dollar and euro, but investors looking for a safe place to store their money have few other currency options. China, among other nations, has objected to the primacy of the dollar in international trade, and has suggested other ways to run the international monetary system, including giving a bigger role to the International Monetary Fund and a wider role for the yuan.

During a visit to China by Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, which ended on Monday, China and Japan announced a series of deals that promote the use of the yuan in trade and investment between the world's second- and third-largest economies, which would limit somewhat the use of the dollar in Asia, the world's fastest growing region. Specifically, the two countries agreed to promote direct yuan-yen trade, rather than converting their currencies first to dollars, and also for Japan to hold yuan in its foreign-exchange reserves, which are now largely denominated in dollars.

A Japanese government official said that in the future, Asian currencies "may become more important than they currently are". But Japan hasn't necessarily decided to buy Chinese government debt based on the view that the yuan is likely to become more popular and dominant than the yen. "The yen's role will rather become more important to other countries if we deepen our relationships with them," the official said.

The pact comes at a time when the yuan has faced downward pressure as investors and businesses have lowered their expectations for a continued rise in the currency. The accords suggest that China is looking to speed up its efforts to raise the yuan's profile overseas. That's especially evident in Tokyo's decision to buy up to $10 billion worth of Chinese government debt for its reserves. Though that represents only about 1% of Japan's $1.3 trillion foreign-exchange reserves—the world's second-largest after China— it's important symbolically as a sign that Japan will diversity away from the dollar in the future.

N.B. Apparently. South Korea may also be a party to this agreement.

How Many U.S. Soldiers Were Wounded in Iraq? Guess Again.

By Dan Froomkin

December 30, 2011 - Reports about the end of the war in Iraq routinely describe the toll on the U.S. military the way the Pentagon does: 4,487 dead, and 32,226 wounded.

The death count is accurate. But the wounded figure wildly understates the number of American service members who have come back from Iraq less than whole.

The true number of military personnel injured over the course of our nine-year-long fiasco in Iraq is in the hundreds of thousands -- maybe even more than half a million -- if you take into account all the men and women who returned from their deployments with traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress, depression, hearing loss, breathing disorders, diseases, and other long-term health problems.

We don't have anything close to an exact number, however, because nobody's been keeping track.

The much-cited Defense Department figure comes from its tally of "wounded in action" -- a narrowly-tailored category that only includes casualties during combat operations who have "incurred an injury due to an external agent or cause." That generally means they needed immediate medical treatment after having been shot or blown up. Explicitly excluded from that category are "injuries or death due to the elements, self-inflicted wounds, combat fatigue" -- along with cumulative psychological and physiological strain or many of the other wounds, maladies and losses that are most common among Iraq veterans.

(Even when they try to tell the truth, USans tend to be widely off the mark. Above text is one such example. No way the number of dead US military personnel is as serenely stated above.)

Powerful earthquake hits Tokyo
1.1.2012

A strong earthquake struck Tokyo and surrounding areas on Sunday afternoon.

The earthquake occurred at around 2:28 PM local time.

Japan's Meteorological Agency says the earthquake had an estimated magnitude of 7.0, with its focus 370 kilometers deep near Torishima Island in the Pacific Ocean.

The agency says the quake registered 4 on the Japanese scale of zero to 7 in 7 prefectures.

The jolt was felt in a wide area, from the northern main island of Hokkaido to the western part of Honshu Island.

The coastal cities of Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, and Iwanuma, Miyagi Prefecture, were among those that felt the strongest tremor.

Tokyo Electric Power Company said no new developments are reported at the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and nearby Daini nuclear plant.

The agency hasn't issued a tsunami alert.

(Could this have anything to do with the recent Japan-China currency swap?)

The Meaning of the Iraq War

As measured by the number of U.S. troops killed, maimed or otherwise scarred, the Iraq war ranks as a comparatively modest affair. Even taking into account the far larger number of civilians killed, injured or displaced, Iraq trails well behind the really big wars of the modern era. Not casualties but consequences define the significance of this lamentable episode. There it ranks ahead of Korea and Vietnam — neither marking a decisive historical turn — and even alongside World War II. Back in 1945, the United States had accrued vast stores of moral and political capital. Thanks to Iraq, those stores are now all but depleted.

After Iraq, the future no longer bears the label “Made in the USA.” In places such as China, alternatives to liberal democracy stubbornly persist and show no signs of flagging. Where demands for democracy sound the loudest — as in the Arab world — the outcome may not favor liberal values. Across Asia, Africa and Latin America, the American model, today damaged and more than slightly tarnished, is only one among several.

Confidence that globalization will (or should) define the economic future has taken a nose dive. While we’ve been making war, rising economic powers have been making hay, frequently at American expense. At home, meanwhile, deference to the market has produced corruption, recklessness and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Furthermore, even if globalization works for the some, it’s by no means certain that it works for the many — a point to which Occupy Wall Street protesters insist on calling attention and one that political leaders ignore at their peril.

Only in the realm of military power has American dominance remained unquestioned, as politicians and generals constantly assert. Yet after years of fighting in Iraq, and with the Afghan war and other “overseas contingency operations” continuing, the value of that claim is fading. No doubt U.S. forces have matchless combat capabilities. Yet the sad fact is that they cannot be relied upon to win. Merely avoiding defeat has become a staggeringly expensive proposition.

The beliefs to which the end of the Cold War gave rise — liberal democracy triumphant, globalization as the next big thing and American dominion affirmed by a new way of war — have all come to rest in that unmarked grave reserved for failed ideas. Those who promoted and persisted in the Iraq war wielded the shovel that helped dig the hole. This defines their legacy.

In my view, things are not so mysterious once you realize that all of the Fukushima incident have been just a fake show. The man-made earthquake and the Fukushima incident were a "Hail-Isis pass" of the dying West. To some extent,it might have been successful, but it didn't and won't change the trend of history. Don't worry, folks.

Benjamin Fulford may be a crap. But, I think he is basically right on this topic. The first guy who asserted this was a fake is Mr. Richard Koshimizu (=my "teacher") as early as March 19. Fulford was a bit late.(They used to be close. We once went to a "pub" after Koshimizu's and Fulford's lectures
with both of them.)

http://rickoshi001.blog.ocn.ne.jp/blog/2011/09/post_b682.html

Jim Stone also gets to the point;
http://www.jimstonefreelance.com/containment.jpg

What exploded was a micro-nuke, which was probably set by an Israelli company called Magna BSP.I bet the fuel rods had been taken away from the reactors before the earthquake happened. So, the radiation leaked was only from the micro-nuke bomb and the amount was not that much.

Since this was exposed by many people (Fulford, Koshimizu, Jim Stone, ...), the nuke plant is carefully watched by political bloggers etc. Now that the lies they have told will not go away,The conspirators are probably in serioustrouble, not knowing how to "join the flats."

Radiation leak cannot be serious outside the nuke palnt. Leave small matters aside and just think about how many people died outside the nuke plant. Zero! A nuke accident of Level 7 (Chenobyl class) happened and nobody really died. Or was it really Lelel 7 ? (Almost everyone in Japan has a cell-phone with camera and there are so many Geiger counters in Japan. How could they hide it?)

For example, in the summer vacation, people who are in evacuation camps are allowed to go home temporally if their homes are 3km or more away from the plant. Many of them took Geigers with them, but they found nothing serious. Just 3km away, there was no serious problem, but they keep calling it "Level 7."

Except the devastated area, we in Japan live as usual.Japan's industrial power is not in that area. So, as a nation, Japan is not in a live-or-die situation. Yanks, including Mr. Rense, are trying to fabricate an impression of "dying Japan" so that world's money would not concentrate in Tokyo. But, they failed to create a panic in Tokyo. There is not much to worry about now.(The coming financial collapse is much more scary). Even if US killed 30,000 or so, no factories would come back to US.Hence, demise of USD is certain.

We had a fairly perceptive account above of what the war in Iraq might have meant for US. And what of the Afghan war? Here's a short answer perhaps:

US invaders Chinook helicopter shot down by Mujahideen in Gerimsir district HELMAND, Dec. 31 – Officials from Gerimsir district of Helmand province say that Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate shot down a US Chinook helicopter with an RPG last night. As per report, the enemy tried to carry out an operation on a Mujahideen compound last night and was on its way back when the attack took place, causing the helicopter to catch fire before violently crashing onto the ground, instantly killing all 35 enemy troops onboard. The flames were still billowing from the helicopter this morning. It is worth reminding everyone that 5 enemy helicopters have been shot down by Mujahideen in Afghanistan during the past ten days. 2 were shot in Zabul district ten days ago, the third in Gerishk district five days ago, the fourth yesterday in the northern province of Saripul and the fifth last night ince again in Helmand province (Gerimsir district).

'Invading Iran is invading Russia, China'
2.1.12

A political analyst says Russia and China consider a US military action on Iran as an attack on their own borders and a threat to their own national security.

“The US is assuming that Russia or China will not respond militarily, but they've been wrong before,” Shamus Cooke wrote on the Global Research website.

Cooke explained that when former US president George W. Bush gave the green light to the then President of Georgia Mikheil Saakahvili to attack South Ossetia in 2008, “Russia surprised everyone by responding militarily and crushing Georgia's invasion.”

“Attacking Syria and/or Iran opens the door to a wider regional or even international war,” Cooke stressed.

That "Meaning of the Iraq War" article has some truly delusional and self-pitying assertions like this: "Back in 1945, the United States had accrued vast stores of moral and political capital. Thanks to Iraq, those stores are now all but depleted."

Sorry, but America has never had any moral or political capital to begin with, for anyone with a brain.

America's moral benevolence has always been a lie since 1776. After all, America was founded as a Slavocracy masquerading as a democracy by such heroic slaveowners like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

Americans like the person who wrote that article are predictably blaming the victim: whining that Iraq has caused America's (non-existent) moral and political capital to evaporate.

In reality, it's more that America has shown its true colors, its true malevolent and predatory nature, with its war rampage against not only Iraq but also Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, and beyond.

Americans just love to play the victim and hold Pity Parties for themselves--while casting blame on other nations.

That is the basis of the American national identity as a people--and why the United Snakes is a clear and present threat.

20:19, 20:31, I think the rhetoric is different, but the end result is the same. The Itaq war laid bare the masquerade of virtue US had long assumed. So finally, in terms of consequence, this war turned out to be a tremendous success for the Iraqis. As for the Afghans, when they finally get going, the military reputation of US will have been reduced to dust and dust will be as well the value of their currency.

re: 21:06

It's not the rhetortic that is different. It's more fundamental.

It's the political worldview and values that are different. One believes in the lie of America and the West as the epitome of the Good--while the other does not.

Good point there, 01:44. I stand corrected. Let me try once more. The similarity arises in the conclusion both sides reach: It's put paid to the west. Although, of course, we tend to think of it as fatal and west supporters probably believe it's something they can overcome over time.

I believe so. It's sad to find so many traitors on the top of Japan's political and economic structures. (But, I must add quickly that some of them may not be even traitors. They may be Koreans in disguise, who were put there as CIA agents.)

PENSIONS IN CRISIS AS FUNDS COLLAPSE

BRITAIN’S private pensions system has suffered a “seismic collapse” to leave millions of savers facing a bleak retirement, new figures show today.

A shocking 90 per cent of firms’ final salary retirement schemes have been closed with experts declaring the “golden age” of pensions over, according to latest research.

It is time for the corporate media to admit what the rest of us already know. The mortgage-backed securities fraud is the biggest financial swindle in history, and the people of the world will be suffering the after-effects for decades to come.

Iran-US tensions over Gulf send oil prices soaring - 5.1.12

The price of oil jumped by $4 a barrel on Tuesday as tension between Iran and the US fuelled fears of disruptions to supply.

Brent crude spot prices rose from $107 to $111 after Iran threatened to take action if the US navy moves an aircraft carrier into the Gulf.

US light crude, which dropped below $100 a barrel before Christmas, hit $102.23 a barrel – a rise of $3.40 on the day.

Analysts said the jump in prices was likely to continue as long as Tehran appeared ready to use force against US warships patrolling the strategically vital strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Gulf.

Thursday, January 5, 2012 - The 10 Inventions of Nikola Tesla That Changed The World
Part One

'Ere many generations pass, our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point of the universe. Throughout space there is energy. -- Nikola Tesla, 1892

SPECIALLY FOR OUR POIUYTR

Source
Nicholas West
Activist Post

Nikola Tesla is finally beginning to attract real attention and encourage serious debate nearly 70 years after his death. Was he for real? A crackpot? Part of an early experiment in corporate-government control?

We know that he was undoubtedly persecuted by the energy power brokers of his day -- namely Thomas Edison, whom we are taught in school to revere as a genius. He was also attacked by J.P. Morgan and other "captains of industry." Upon Tesla's death on January 7th, 1943, the U.S. government moved into his lab and apartment confiscating all of his scientific research, and to this day none of this research has been made public.

Besides his persecution by corporate-government interests (which is practically a certification of authenticity), there is at least one solid indication of Nikola Tesla's integrity -- he tore up a contract with Westinghouse that was worth billions in order to save the company from paying him his huge royalty payments.

But, let's take a look at what Nikola Tesla -- a man who died broke and alone -- has actually given to the world. For better or worse, with credit or without, he changed the face of the planet in ways that perhaps no man ever has.

1. Alternating Current -- This is where it all began, and what ultimately caused such a stir at the 1893 World's Expo in Chicago. A war was leveled ever-after between the vision of Edison and the vision of Tesla for how electricity would be produced and distributed. The division can be summarized as one of cost and safety: The DC current that Edison (backed by General Electric) had been working on was costly over long distances, and produced dangerous sparking from the required converter (called a commutator). Regardless, Edison and his backers utilized the general "dangers" of electric current to instill fear in Tesla's alternative: Alternating Current. As proof, Edison sometimes electrocuted animals at demonstrations. Consequently, Edison gave the world the electric chair, while simultaneously maligning Tesla's attempt to offer safety at a lower cost. Tesla responded by demonstrating that AC was perfectly safe by famously shooting current through his own body to produce light. This Edison-Tesla (GE-Westinghouse) feud in 1893 was the culmination of over a decade of shady business deals, stolen ideas, and patent suppression that Edison and his moneyed interests wielded over Tesla's inventions. Yet, despite it all, it is Tesla's system that provides power generation and distribution to North America in our modern era.

Tesla - Part Two

2. Light -- Of course he didn't invent light itself, but he did invent how light can be harnessed and distributed. Tesla developed and used florescent bulbs in his lab some 40 years before industry "invented" them. At the World's Fair, Tesla took glass tubes and bent them into famous scientists' names, in effect creating the first neon signs. However, it is his Tesla Coil that might be the most impressive, and controversial. The Tesla Coil is certainly something that big industry would have liked to suppress: the concept that the Earth itself is a magnet that can generate electricity (electromagnetism) utilizing frequencies as a transmitter. All that is needed on the other end is the receiver -- much like a radio.

3. X-rays -- Electromagnetic and ionizing radiation was heavily researched in the late 1800s, but Tesla researched the entire gamut. Everything from a precursor to Kirlian photography, which has the ability to document life force, to what we now use in medical diagnostics, this was a transformative invention of which Tesla played a central role. X-rays, like so many of Tesla's contributions, stemmed from his belief that everything we need to understand the universe is virtually around us at all times, but we need to use our minds to develop real-world devices to augment our innate perception of existence.

4. Radio -- Guglielmo Marconi was initially credited, and most believe him to be the inventor of radio to this day. However, the Supreme Court overturned Marconi's patent in 1943, when it was proven that Tesla invented the radio years previous to Marconi. Radio signals are just another frequency that needs a transmitter and receiver, which Tesla also demonstrated in 1893 during a presentation before The National Electric Light Association. In 1897 Tesla applied for two patents US 645576, and US 649621. In 1904, however, The U.S. Patent Office reversed its decision, awarding Marconi a patent for the invention of radio, possibly influenced by Marconi's financial backers in the States, who included Thomas Edison and Andrew Carnegie. This also allowed the U.S. government (among others) to avoid having to pay the royalties that were being claimed by Tesla.

5. Remote Control -- This invention was a natural outcropping of radio. Patent No. 613809 was the first remote controlled model boat, demonstrated in 1898. Utilizing several large batteries; radio signals controlled switches, which then energized the boat's propeller, rudder, and scaled-down running lights. While this exact technology was not widely used for some time, we now can see the power that was appropriated by the military in its pursuit of remote controlled war. Radio controlled tanks were introduced by the Germans in WWII, and developments in this realm have since slid quickly away from the direction of human freedom.

Tesla - Part Three

6. Electric Motor -- Tesla's invention of the electric motor has finally been popularized by a car brandishing his name. While the technical specifications are beyond the scope of this summary, suffice to say that Tesla's invention of a motor with rotating magnetic fields could have freed mankind much sooner from the stranglehold of Big Oil. However, his invention in 1930 succumbed to the economic crisis and the world war that followed. Nevertheless, this invention has fundamentally changed the landscape of what we now take for granted: industrial fans, household applicances, water pumps, machine tools, power tools, disk drives, electric wristwatches and compressors.

7. Robotics -- Tesla's overly enhanced scientific mind led him to the idea that all living beings are merely driven by external impulses. He stated: "I have by every thought and act of mine, demonstrated, and does so daily, to my absolute satisfaction that I am an automaton endowed with power of movement, which merely responds to external stimuli." Thus, the concept of the robot was born. However, an element of the human remained present, as Tesla asserted that these human replicas should have limitations -- namely growth and propagation. Nevertheless, Tesla unabashedly embraced all of what intelligence could produce. His visions for a future filled with intelligent cars, robotic human companions, and the use of sensors, and autonomous systems are detailed in a must-read entry in the Serbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2006 (PDF).

8. Laser -- Tesla's invention of the laser may be one of the best examples of the good and evil bound up together within the mind of man. Lasers have transformed surgical applications in an undeniably beneficial way, and they have given rise to much of our current digital media. However, with this leap in innovation we have also crossed into the land of science fiction. From Regan's "Star Wars" laser defense system to today's Orwellian "non-lethal" weapons' arsenal, which includes laser rifles and directed energy "death rays," there is great potential for development in both directions.

9 and 10. Communications and Limitless Free Energy -- These two are inextricably linked, as they were the last straw for the power elite -- what good is energy if it can't be metered and controlled? Free? Never. J.P. Morgan backed Tesla with $150,000 to build a tower that would use the natural frequencies of our universe to transmit data, including a wide range of information communicated through images, voice messages, and text. This represented the world's first wireless communications, but it also meant that aside from the cost of the tower itself, the universe was filled with free energy that could be utilized to form a world wide web connecting all people in all places, as well as allow people to harness the free energy around them. Essentially, the 0's and 1's of the universe are embedded in the fabric of existence for each of us to access as needed. Nikola Tesla was dedicated to empowering the individual to receive and transmit this data virtually free of charge. But we know the ending to that story . . . until now?

Iran & Britain - 6.1.12

UK rules out preemptive strike on Iran

The British Defense Secretary says London is against preemptive military action against Iran as it will threaten the global economic growth by disrupting oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz. Addressing a conference on “NATO and the Case for Collective Defense in the 21st Century” at Atlantic Council in Washington, Philip Hammond noted, “We would not be in favor of a preemptive strike on Iran.”

“It is in all our interests that the arteries of global trade are kept free, open and running,” he added.

US Marine says Iraq war was one long atrocity

Ex-Marine Ross Caputi says American soldiers should take "ownership" of the war in Iraq that was one long atrocity.

It's no wonder, he says, that so many returning soldiers are overwhelmed by guilt at what they have done, with a higher rate of suicides than in any previous American war.

"People do not go home and want to kill themselves because they've been helping Iraqis," says Ross Caputi. "They go home and want to kill themselves because they've committed atrocities."

Ross Caputi now campaigns for justice for the city of Fallujah, which as a Marine he helped to destroy in 2004, when thousands of civilians were killed and 200,000 driven from their homes.

Gone, long gone the days when we thought the west might go out quietly without sinking the entire planet. Today, for instance, we've got Syria where further Russian military ships have arrived, Iran, with the Straits of Hormuz now prey to war "games" on the part of Iran itself, US, Israel and Britain. A most worrisome situation, if one were still in a condition to worry and not comotose with resignation already. Iran also has verbal backing from China and Russia.

Then there's Pakistan, also a potential target for warlike activity. Pak army's Chief of Staff is at the moment in China drumming up support for whatever China can give them in their present stand-off with the US. It's all touch and go at the moment as to who will back off first, west or the Freeworld.

France loses top credit rating, govt says
13.1.12

PARIS (AP) — The French finance minister said Friday that Standard & Poor's had stripped the nation of its top-notch credit rating, again throwing Europe's ability to fight off its debt crisis into doubt.

Speaking on France-2 television, Finance Minister Francois Baroin confirmed that France had been lowered by one notch. That would mean a rating of AA+, the same rating the United States has had since S&P downgraded it last August.

Baroin said France had received a change to its rating "like most of the eurozone," referring to the 17 European nations that use the euro currency, but there was no confirmation from S&P that any other nation had been downgraded. S&P had warned 15 European nations in December that they were at risk for a downgrade.

A credit downgrade would escalate the threats to Europe's fragile financial system and raise the costs at which the affected countries — some of which are already struggling with heavy debt loads and low growth — borrow money.

Borrowing costs for the French government rose earlier in the day, when rumors of a looming downgrade began swirling through financial markets. The yield on France's 10-year government bond rose to 3.1 percent from 3 percent earlier in the day.

That is still less than the 3.36 percent rate on the same bond last week and far below the 6.6 percent that Italy has to pay to borrow money from bond investors for 10 years.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Russia would regard any military intervention linked to Iran's nuclear program as a threat to its own security, Moscow's departing ambassador to NATO warned on Friday.

"Iran is our neighbor," Dmitry Rogozin told reporters in Brussels. "And if Iran is involved in any military action, it's a direct threat to our security."

Rogozin was speaking two days after the killing of a nuclear scientist in Tehran by a hitman on a motorcycle.

Kremlin Security Council head Nikolai Patrushev, who is close to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, said Israel was pushing the United States towards war with Iran, according to the Interfax news agency.

Russia, however, opposes a boycott of Iranian oil.

"We are definitely interested in the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction," Rogozin said on Friday. "But at the same time, we believe that any country has the right to have what it needs to feel comfortable, including Iran."

Rogozin, often described as an anti-Western hawk, was appointed deputy prime minister in December, and will oversee Russia's defense sector when he returns to Moscow.

The United States, the European Union and Japan are drawing up sanctions on Iran to try to force it to abandon its suspected nuclear weapons program. Tehran says its program does not have military aims.

The United States on Thursday took punitive action against three oil companies dealing with Iranian oil.

EU foreign ministers are expected to agree on a ban on imports of Iranian crude oil on January 23 - though with a grace period to give European companies time to find alternative sources of crude.

Japan on Thursday pledged to take concrete action to cut its oil imports from Iran.

Thailand recognizes Palestinian state
Fri Jan 20, 2012

Thailand has formally announced its recognition of Palestine as an independent state, making the Southeast Asian country the first country to recognize Palestine in 2012.

The Palestinian Authority said on Thursday that the Palestinian delegation at the UN received a formal letter from the Thai government, saying it has "officially recognized the state of Palestine and officially informed all permanent and observer missions to the United Nations in New York of this development."

The letter said that Thailand recognized the Palestinian state along the lines that existed before the 1967 Six-Day War.

The acting Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki hailed the move, saying, "Thailand's recognition of a Palestinian state is the first of the New Year 2012 and is a new achievement for Palestinian diplomacy."

Maliki added that Thailand's recognition brings to 131 the number of countries that have recognized a Palestinian state.

Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas also thanked Thailand for the move.

“Official procedures have begun on the establishment of diplomatic relations,” Abbas said in a statement.

In September 2011, Abbas formally asked the United Nations to fully recognize Palestine as a member state. The United States has, however, threatened to veto the bid and has been lobbying UN member countries to vote against the motion.

Palestine currently has 'observer' status at the UN but could successfully win full membership at the UN cultural organization, UNESCO, in October 2011.

Most people think the war is inevitable. Poiuytr seemed to hold the opposite view, joining in this those who spread the story that Islamic Iran is also a Zionist entity. I have always held, purely on intuitive grounds, that both Syria and Iran will weather this crisis. How do the rest of you feel about it?

US military prepares to shed 100,000 troops
27.1.12

As the debt-ridden US winds down from a decade of war, the cuts would see the Army shrink from a high of 570,000 in 2010 to 490,000 by 2017. The Marine Corps would drop from its high of 202,000 to 182,000. Both would remain at a slightly higher level than they were on September 11, 2001.

The Navy would keep a fleet of 11 aircraft carriers but retire seven cruisers earlier than planned, and delay purchase of other ships. Introduction of F-35 stealth fighter jets would be delayed, six of the Air Force's tactical-air fighter squadrons would be eliminated and 130 cargo aircraft would be retired.

Fitch cuts Italy, Spain, other euro zone ratings
28.1.12

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Fitch downgraded the sovereign credit ratings of Belgium, Cyprus, Italy, Slovenia and Spain on Friday, indicating there was a 1-in-2 chance of further cuts in the next two years.

In a statement, the ratings agency said the affected countries were vulnerable in the near-term to monetary and financial shocks.

"Consequently, these sovereigns do not, in Fitch's view, accrue the full benefits of the euro's reserve currency status," it said.

Fitch cut Italy's rating to A-minus from A-plus; Spain to A from AA-minus; Belgium to AA from AA-plus; Slovenia to A from AA-minus and Cyprus to BBB-minus from BBB, leaving the small island nation just one notch above junk status.

Ireland's rating of BBB-plus was affirmed.

All of the ratings were given negative outlooks.

Fitch said it had weighed up a worsening economic outlook in much of the euro zone against the European Central Bank's December move to flood the banking sector with cheap three-year money and austerity efforts by governments to curb their debts.

"Overall, today's rating actions balance the marked deterioration in the economic outlook with both the substantive policy initiatives at the national level to address macro-financial and fiscal imbalances, and the initial success of the ECB's three-year Long-Term Refinancing Operation in easing near-term sovereign and bank funding pressures," Fitch said.

Two weeks ago, Standard & Poor's downgraded the credit ratings of nine euro zone countries, stripping France and Austria of their coveted triple-A status but not EU paymaster Germany, and pushing struggling Portugal into junk territory.

China And Japan Currency Swap: Nail In US Dollar’s Coffin - 27.1.12

On 25 December 2011, the government of Peoples Republic of China and Japan unveiled plans to promote direct exchange of their currencies. This agreement will allow firms to convert the Chinese and Japanese currencies directly into each other, thus negating the need to buy dollars. This deal between China and Japan followed agreements between China and numerous countries to trade outside the sphere of the US dollar. A few weeks earlier, China also announced a 70 billion Yuan ($11 billion) currency swap agreement with Thailand.

DU destroying Afghans’ gene pool’
31.1.12

I have seen people die without any physical signs of injuries on their bodies in Afghanistan. There were bizarre scenes of birds melting on trees.”
The United States’ use of radioactive munitions in Afghanistan has destroyed the people’s health and mutilated the genetic future of the country, Press TV reports.

The same thing applies to Iraq, Pakistan, Libya and other parts of Africa. And yet west can go through its days without the least twinge of conscience. Remarkable.

Fukushima - What Really Happened
February 1, 2012

As a hypothesis, Stuxnet explains why the generators failed. It explains how the valves in the passive cooling systems got shut off.

by James Farganne
(henrymakow.com)

Recently, I posted a short overview of Jim Stone's Fukushima report, which concluded that the 9.0-magnitude quake was a lie concocted to conceal the real cause of the tsunami: a seabed nuke.

Stone's report proves definitively that the official story of 3/11, like that of 9/11, is a poorly woven fabric of lies and inconsistencies.

Thanks a lot, 14:29. Shall read through it and get back to you a bit later. But let me say as of now that I, too, subscribe more to the theory of the presence of a seabed nuke in the events which brought about such fearsome destruction on Japan. But more of that in a little while.

Noted with some relief that so far Russia and China are seemingly adamant about blocking the latest UNSC resolution aimed at allowing foreign military intervention in Syria's internal affairs. Just as they seem to be giving Iran full support in its showdown with the west. If these two countries along with other BRIC members stand firm, two dire wars may well be averted and, along with it, the threat of a nuclear military confrontation on a large-scale.

The talk is all of war. Meanwhile what about the prolapse, coming along nicely as well?

- Greece’s leaders oppose new austerity measures: All three party leaders in Greece’s teetering national unity government have opposed new austerity measures demanded by international lenders, forcing eurozone finance ministers to postpone approval of a new €130bn bail-out and moving the country closer to a full-blown default.

- Unemployment hits record high in Spain: Jobless rate is twice the average for the rest of the EU, with young people particularly badly affected, new data show.

- Canada: Unemployment rises as just 2,300 jobs created in January: Canada's economy squeezed out a paltry gain of 2,300 jobs last month as the country's unemployment rate increased due to more people looking for work.

- Why Today's "Very, Very Suspicious" NFP Number Is Really Down 2.9 Million In Past 2 Months: "Actual jobs, not seasonally adjusted, are down 2.9 million over the past two months. It is only after seasonal adjustments – made at the sole discretion of the Bureau of Labor Statistics economists – that 2.9 million fewer jobs gets translated into 446,000 new seasonally adjusted jobs."

Online voting for Human Rights Hero 2011 closed one month early, and the result censored, after Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi took clear lead along with Nabeel Rajab of Bahrain and Michael Jackson. Hijacked as a money-making business forgetful of western crimes and state-terrorism, true human rights defenders have re-branded Amnesty Amnesia International.

Russia and China veto UN resolution on Syria: The Americans said the two countries had sold out the Syrian people; the French accused them of backing Damascus without scruple; while the British said they had turned their backs on the Arab world.

What next Syria? The mists of speculation descend upon us and obscure our view. But seeing the results of the "Arab Spring" in the Middle East, we greatly hope that Bashar-al-Asad will bring this to some kind of a successful conclusion, even if it might mean stepping out of the presidential role. So long as Syria remains untouched militarily.

Regarding the coming war (by our perceptive Iraqwar comrade Syrian)

The reason why Syria had to be taken out before attacking Iran is quite simple: our missile system.

We've got weapons of mass destruction, of all kinds as you can imagine that 8MW Chinese nuclear reactor isn't just making medicine. israhell is a "one bomb country", in the sense that it only takes a single nuclear weapon to destroy it. The trouble is, if you only have a few nuclear bombs, and israhell intercepts them all, you're screwed.

So it becomes a numbers game. It's here that our victory is already written on paper. We a huge arsenal of missiles, up to 200,000 and growing by the day. There is absolutely nothing the israhelli missile defense system can do about them. There is absolutely nothing even a nuclear counter-force first strike can do about them due to both their distributed and their hardened mountain positions. Just like in Lebanon, the missiles will fly.... but they will hit their targets with accuracy and deliver a huge payload. israhell will be no more, even if they struck Syria with all they have, they will not survive long enough to destroy us. Their submarine launched missiles would have to deal with the 2 submarines we recently purchased as well.

SO! Iran has indeed been provoked and they want the confrontation to take place in June this year, where @IC's scenario would be carried out. But, if Syria is still around, they will be destroyed! Doubly, because Iran would also annihilate the US presence in the region within 15 minutes of the war as 10,000 heavy missiles land on targets all around it. It's a numbers game, yet again, and no counter measure is available to deal with the quantity and quality of these missiles.

But you have to go back and understand something important: any of these scenarios will provoke a global nuclear war and subsequent holocaust. The conventional forces of China and Russia will survive due to the size and ruggedness of their land. America's isolated, distributed bases around the world will be struck hard, the missile defense system is not yet in working condition, it will take at least 3-6 years, depending on how fast they accelerate development and production. Until then, the cost of attacking these bases, redirecting from counterforce/countervalue targets around the western world, would be minimal.

When the dust settles and the long range bombers are gone, silos destroyed and cities in ruins, the weapons of war will start rolling out. It will be a fight to the finish, those who still have a fuel source will outlast the other. Those with a higher quality and quantity army (Russia and China), will prevail. The other side will perish completely. Then the rush to the safe zones will begin.

But this scenario will not take place, not yet, not this year in any case. They can see the results and will back off, but there is a price to backing off, since they have went all-in in the region. The Chinese and Russians, despite all their statements, want to take something away from this episode and Iran has been put in a situation where war is not only necessary but also imminent.

But Iran has the Syria card still in its pocket and will act in impunity against non-US non-israeli targets soon, taking what's on the table, as the american/gulf/turkish/israeli/european cards have all been burnt.

Right then, 15:27, I said I'd be bakc with comments. So here I am. To sum up then: Fukishima was impossible as the report states. It was a mixture of the Stuxnet in action and nuclear devices on the premises of the reactors. The power behind it was Israel, though why Japan was so naive to place confidence in them is beyond me. The reason for the act was Japan had offered to enrich uranium for Iran. So far so good. It all seems to hang together.

But what seems excessive in all of it is that such destruction should have been visited on a country long held to be a US ally. At a time when US is trying to become a big shot in the Pacific area and Far East. The end result of it all can only be to drive Japan into the Chinese orbit. The powers that be have really gone beserk over the past eleven years.
